You all know I like to write posts based on personal experience, of course that makes us all more informed on the topic. Well this is a topic that comes up all the time, Travel Insurance.
Well this time I am having a few days over in Perth, nothing too exciting, just going over with the Team Latitude guys to a beautiful place south of Perth; Karri Valley. Anyway, I decided that as my flights were cheap I wouldn’t take out travel insurance. That goes against everything I preach, right? Well no, I found an alternative product.
As we are hiring a vehicle for 3 days while in Perth I didn’t want to take any chances, and knowing a lot about car hire and the costs etc. of extra reduction on insurance risk I decided to take out a cheap TripCover product. In short, my car rental excess is covered.
Instead of getting hit for a minimum of $25.00 per day for car rental excess insurance, or much more in many instances, I am paying ONLY $25.41 to cover my car excess for 3 days. Thats way less than $10.00 per day for risk free motoring. So you can see, although I didnt take travel insurance this time, I did take out one component of that insurance as I am renting a car.
So save money and take out a Car Vehicle insurance reduction online before you rent.
